A Fabulous Fireplace Wall Update

Even before Sara got to see her home, the realtor told her about "the wall". Apparently other potential buyers had been put off by the outdated rock fireplace. The rock extended too far up to fit a television and the hearth took up too much space in an already-small-room. But Sara was inspired by a board & batten wall in another house & she already had a vision of how to lighten & update this problem room.

So her Honey got to work. It only took him a chisel, a hammer & about four hours to take the rock down. The original plan was to install electrical wiring in the wall to accommodate a television. When it turned out to be too expensive to do so, they decided to mount the TV from the ceiling & run the cords through the attic.
What a difference it made just getting the rock off the wall! Eliminating the hearth was a great call because it added some much needed space to the room.  I also love the hexagon floor tile they chose.
Just feast your eyes on the beautiful finished product!
Sara loves clean, neutral color schemes & she executes them beautifully in her furnishings & accessories.
