The Jelly Bean Prayer - A Big Hit on Pinterest!

Last spring,
I wrote a post about my
favorite Easter tradition -
The Jelly Bean Prayer.
It has made it's way onto
Pinterest
where it has been
"pinned" over 6,000 times!

So-o-o, since so many people seem to like it,
I thought I would re-post it
in case you didn't catch it the first time
{or haven't seen it on Pinterest}.
It's a great reminder about the real meaning
of Easter!
Each year I make copies of it
& attach to little cellophane bags of jelly beans
for the kids in my life
{including the young women ages 12-18 at church].

Here is a copy if you want to use it.
{I don't know who wrote it, I've had it for many years!}

I think this will work, I just inserted the
whole Word document,
so if you just right-click on it,
I think you can save it & print off
four to an 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of card stock.

The Jelly Bean Prayer

Red is for the blood He gave
Green is for the grass He made
Yellow is for the sun so bright
Orange is for the edge of night
Black is for the sins we made
White is for the grace He gave
Purple is for His hour of sorrow
Pink is for our new tomorrow

A bag full of jelly beans
Colorful and sweet
Is a prayer, is a promise,
Is a special treat.
