Oily skin. I've had it all my life. Wearing makeup with this type of skin can be tricky. The oil just seems to dissolve the makeup. AND I touch my face a lot too - which doesn't help. I blame my oily skin for the way eyeliner seems to evaporate - or worse - smear when I try to wear it.  Yuck.
As a result, I have a drawer full of eyeliners I've tried. MY MISSION: find one that stays on! Recently the planets lined up at my local Sephora store when the clerk recommended one that really does stay all day {for me at least}.

First, here are some of the brands I've tried. {I don't even know all of them, because many were just thrown away in frustration!}

  • Bobbi Brown Long Wear Gel - was pretty good, but not what I was looking for. Plus it comes in a jar & dries out quickly.
  • Revlon Color Stay - I think this was one I saw recommended on a local TV show. I ran to the store to get it. If you like a liner than can smudge, this would be great. For me, it was more like little black circles under my eyes.
  • Cover Girl Perfect Blend Pencil Crayon - Again, easy to put on & it comes right off when I wear it.
  • Lancome Le Crayon Khol - Nope!
  • Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Pencil - Highly recommended by a dear friend {Hi Becky!}. It stays on her all day. On me, I had raccoon eyes in no time.
Aaaaannnnd there were more. The one I've been waiting for my whole life - KAT VON D. TATTOO LINER - {CLICK HERE to view or purchase it}.  I use "Mad Max Brown" & I'll tell you what - it does not come off! And, for a liquid, it is easy to apply because it has a tiny brush applicator. So I can get a really thin line if I want one.  What's your favorite eyeliner?

PS - Next time I'll tell you about a few more beauty products I can't live without.

  1. SO glad you finally found one that works!! I'll have to try the one you like. Post more of your makeup finds!

    1. Thank you Beck! Still in search of something that makes me look as gorgeous as you!
