A Sweet Room for Baby Alice

As a mother of all sons, I've always wanted to create a sweet girl's room. And while I've been able to design a few girly rooms for clients - it sure was fun to make a room just for our own Baby Alice.

Alice is three years old now, so it was time for a "big girl bed" & when she's not spending the night, we can still use the room for guests.
Monkeys jumping on the bed - Claire & Alice
This grey & white Alana Medallion duvet from Pottery Barn coordinates beautifully with the pink & grey color scheme without being juvenile. The pillows are Pottery Barn Isabelle euro shams with linen crochet standard pillows in front. The secondhand headboard was $45 on KSL {local classified ad}.

The tea table was also purchased on KSL. It had stars on it & I just painted it white. Aren't the little PB Kids chairs cute - a yard sale find for $5 each. Wahoo! The dress-up angel wings from PB Kids look so darling on the chairs.

For a while, I collected play food & the girls have fun playing tea party with it. Most of it was Christmas ornaments & I just cut off the strings.
Claire - being the perfect hostess
Little Miss Alice
The design for the room all started with this adorable antique baby doll crib. My husband's aunt played with it as a child. I picked up the peachy pink color for other accessories as well.

It warms my heart to see Alice playing with something that has so much sentimental family history.
She's enjoying her new room & I'M enjoying her & her friends.
