Ziploc Bags - A Fun & Easy Way to Cook Omelets

Pin It!

This idea would be great for camping this summer
or to feed a crowd breakfast at home.

1st - Have everyone write their name on a
quart size Ziploc bag.
{Quart bags are thicker, but I didn't have any so I used
the regular sized bag. It worked fine.}

2nd - Crack two eggs {no more!} into the
Ziplocs & squeeze to scramble.
3rd - Each person adds the ingredients they would
like in their omelet. {Cheese, onions, bell peppers, etc.
can be ready ahead of time.}

4th - Make sure to get all the air out of the bags &
zip them up. Then mix well.

5th - Flatten the bags & boil for 13 minutes - rotate the bags around a bit with some tongs as it cooks.
{You may need more time depending on your altitude -
it's probably a good idea to do a practice run!}
You can cook 6 - 8 omelets in a large pot.
6th - Remove the omelets
{you can cut the bag if needed}
& enjoy!

So easy & there's almost NO cleanup!
