Tea Cup Centerpieces

Pin It!
Nellie's birthday party is coming up &
I've been using lots of {what else?}
spray paint & epoxy to get ready!
We're having a tea party & I want bright, happy colors!

I found this centerpiece on Pinterest & decided to make
something like it.
I spent about $12 {total} on tea cups & saucers at the thrift store.
{I tried to find pieces with texture on them.}
I don't know if it was necessary, but I did spray the dishes
with primer first. Then, I painted everything in crazy colors.
Most of the insides of the cups don't show,
so don't worry about them.
-More about the pink frame in a later post!-

For the next step, you'll need some glue.
I recently overcame my fear of epoxy & now I'm
glueing everything in sight using it on lots of projects!

Just squeeze some epoxy on a paper plate &
mix it with a plastic spoon.
Then, {working quickly} dip your cups
in the glue & place them where you want them.
I think it's cute if they are stacked kinda crooked.
Then I added some gold paint to the edges with a sponge brush
& some gold glitter. {'Cause everything is more fun with glitter!}

The centerpieces are so cute with some fresh flowers in the top cup.
I used wet floral foam & wet florist tape it the cup first.
{Water the foam generously before placing the flowers.}
One "grower's bunch" {$5} from the grocery store
was enough to fill both cups.
