From Trash to Turquoise Treasure

OK - I'm just going to admit it . . .

I LOVE GARBAGE!

There's a special thrill I get when I see 

value in something someone else threw away.

Here's my latest victim find . . . 

This little baby was destined for the dump!

Travesty!

This is what it looked like when I rescued it . . . 

It had lots of dust, silly string, & holes,

but it was really sturdy!

So whipped out the sander & the wood filler {again}.

{Holes filled in - much better!}

After a spray coat of primer, I used Valspar "Mediterranean" paint.

All it needed was a little love & a good home.

I also made this little "Scrabble" sign for the guest room.

It reminds me of my Uncle Bill - who used to say,

"Good night, sleep tight, 

don't let the bed bugs bite!".

{The tiles are glued on.}

The darling lamp is from "Home Goods" {$29.99}.
